Magazines4Students.com.au is a trading name of Student Services Australia Pty Limited (SSA), ACN 100 372 156, ABN 19 100 372 156. SSA acts as an agent for the publisher of the magazines ordered.
Eligibility
You confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria and at the time of ordering:
you are a current student or academic staff member at an Australian High School, TAFE or university, OR
the person receiving the subscription is a current student or academic staff member of an Australian High School, TAFE or university.
you are a graduate of an Australian University, TAFE or other tertiary institute.
Verification
SSA reserves the right to verify your student/staff ID number with your education institution (See ECA below);
SSA at any time may request proof of eligibility and reserves the right to cancel subscriptions if proof is not supplied within the requested time.
Education Compliance Audit (ECA)
You agree to meet the terms of the ECA, namely;
You may be chosen after purchase and delivery of your subscription to confirm with documentation that you meet the eligibility criteria. SSA will conduct the ECA. SSA reserves the right to choose any or all customers to participate in the ECA at its own discretion. Within 14 days of the ECA request, you will provide to SSA with proof of eligibility (Student/Staff ID).
ECA: Non-compliance
If you fail to comply with the ECA in the specified time, you and any third party provider of payment agree at the time of purchase, and with no further authorisation required, that you are liable for the difference between the education price you paid and the cover price. “Cover price” being the non-education price that the general public purchases the same subscription for. This is quoted at the time of purchase on the Magazines4Students website.
SSA and other parties reserve the right to commence proceedings against you for potentially making false and misleading statements, potential violation of false declaration and other violations. If subsequent to appearing to have successfully met the ECA request it is discovered you do not meet the eligibility criteria, the ECA provides no exemption or protection from prosecution.
Refuse supply
SSA may refuse supply if it believes a customer may not meet the eligibility criteria. SSA reserves the right to ask for proof of eligibility prior to and during supply.
Please note that it is your responsibility to update your student details with Magazines4Students. If our records indicate that you are no longer eligible, you will not receive a renewal reminder.
Order On Hold
At no charge, and at any time you may contact Magazines4Students and place your order on hold and have it recommence at a later date within 12 months of the on hold date. Redirection
At no charge, and at any time you may contact Magazines4Students and have your subscription redirected to a new address within Australia. Provide 6 weeks notice of the change date. SSA strongly recommends that customers also organise automatic mail forwarding to the new address at your local Australia Post office. International Redirection
Certain magazines may be redirected at no charge to an overseas address. Allow 10 weeks notice of the change date to ensure no copies are missed. See the "International Students" page on this web site for the list of magazines. Magazines not listed here can only be redirected within Australia.
Order cancellation
We do not offer cancellations so please choose carefully. We can exchange your order for another title if the request is made within 48 hours after the purchase is made (please see below). Please contact us on 02 9698 4999 for any inquiries.
Change of magazine order
If you have a change of mind and wish to exchange your order for another title, please note that you will incur a $5.00 transfer fee. Also note that we do not process cancellations. Please contact us on 02 9698 4999 for any inquiries.
Service and Supply Issues
SSA is able to pass on any service or supply issues you may have with the publisher and may be able to assist in having these satisfactorily resolved. SSA may also recommend a customer to directly contact a publisher regarding these issues. Under all circumstances, the publisher remains responsible for satisfying service and supply of magazines ordered. SSA does not guarantee the performance of publishers. It is the customer's responsibility to give notification of any service or supply problems ASAP as a publisher may not compensate if a long period of time has elapsed since initial payment. Financial Times subscribers may receive their paper a day late depending on the delivery address. Pricing
Prices quoted on Magazines4Students.com.au printed material are correct for a limited time only. Prices can change often for many reasons, including changes in exchange rates, and cover price changes. Prices on the website are valid for the day they are viewed and may change every 24 hours.
“Cover price” refers to the non-education price that the general public purchases the same magazine for at a newsagent, multiplied by the number of issues per year included in a subscription.
“You save” refers to the difference between the cover price and the education price offered by Magazines4Students.com.au. Variation of Terms
SSA may add to, delete or otherwise change these terms and conditions without notice.
Allow up to 6 weeks for shipment of free gifts. Free gifts cannot be purchased separately. Every effort is made to ensure supply of free gifts is as advertised. If in the rare event that a gift is unavailable, a different gift may be substituted of equivalent value.
GIFT VOUCHER TERMS
1. Gift vouchers and unused portions of gift vouchers should be spent within 12 months from the date of purchase, which is the "expiry" date included on the gift certificate.
2. Gift vouchers must be redeemed over the phone. Call 1300 552 100 (local cost)
3. Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund. A refund can be issued to the purchaser of the Gift Voucher up to the expiry date of the original voucher.
4. Any unused balance will be placed in the recipient's gift voucher account and is not transferable. The original expiration date will apply to any unused balance.
5. If your order exceeds the amount of your gift certificate, you must pay for the balance with a valid and accepted credit card or cheque payment.
6. Gift vouchers and their use on the Magazines4Students.com.au Web site are subject to the Magazines4Students.com.au general terms
7. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift vouchers.
8. M4S reserves the right to close customer accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained gift voucher is either redeemed through M4S or is redeemed and used to make purchases through M4S.
9. M4S may provide gift certificate purchasers with information about the redemption status of gift vouchers.
10. M4S gift vouchers can be purchased for Students/Academic staff by non-students (so long as the person receiving the subscription is a student/staff member)
11. M4S may refuse supply if it believes a customer may not meet the eligibility criteria through ECA (See Terms of Purchase)
XMAS Party Pack
Entry is open to all customers who purchase one or more subscription/s between 25.11.11 and 20.12.11. The competition commences 25.11.11 and will end on 20.12.11 at 5pm. The competition winner will be drawn on the Thursday 20 December 2011 at 5:30pm. It will take place at 56 Meagher Street Chippendale NSW 2008. The winner will be notified by telephone on the day of the draw and the name of the customer will be posted on www.magazines4students.com.au. The prize will be couriered to the winner after they have been notified. If the prize is unclaimed for the period of three months after the winner has been notified, the winner’s entry will be deemed as invalid and the promoter reserves the right to distribute the prize to the next best valid entry. Total value of prizes of the Christmas hamper is $500. The Christmas hamper consists of; 8GB iPod Touch (white), with a $30 iTunes card, two double pass cinema tickets, Beach pack contains a beach towel, ball, 2 pairs of his/hers Havaiana’s, and $50 Coles Myers gift card, 10 blue plastic document holders with blue rulers, a selection of five magazines. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value and description and no responsibility will be accepted for late, list or misdirected entries. The promoter’s decision is final.
